9466 is a member of the three 94xx class Great Western Pannier Tanks. These locomotives were Hawkworth developments of the highly successful 57xx class panniers. 9466 was built in 1952 by Robert Stephenson & Hawthorns. These locomotives had a more restrictive route availability being code 'Red'. They were nevertheless found across the GWR system and were equally at home on shunting duties, freight trains and local passenger dutes.

Since arriving at Tyselely, 9466 has undertook an evening mainline test run from Shirley to Stratford then a full day rail tour to Birch Coppice Freight Terminal and then to Ironbridge Power Station. It is scheduled to run more tours for Vintage Trains during 2008.
