Itinerary :


A choice of destinations:

Alight at Bournemouth with its seven miles of golden sands and award winning gardens, Poole which has the second largest natural harbour in the world after Sydney, Australia, Wareham for a coach transfer to the Swanage Railway which operates a six mile long line between Norden and Swanage through the beautiful Isle of Purbeck, passing the ruins of Corfe Castle, or continue on the train to Weymouth, a classic seaside resort with its beach and idyllic leisure harbour, nestling alongside the rugged 'Isle' of Portland.

From Birmingham Moor Street - Tyseley (pu) - Solihull (pu) - Dorridge(pu) - Warwick Parkway (pu) - Leamington Spa (pu) - Banbury (pu) - Oxford - Basingstoke - Eastleigh - Southampton Central - Bournemouth (sd) - Poole (sd) - Wareham (sd) - Dorchester South - Weymouth (sd), returning as outward.

This train offers a high level of passenger comfort being comprised of recently acquired ex-BR mark 2 air-conditioned carriages together with our well-known BR Mk 1 Pullman Cars as used on the 'East Coast Pullman' services. This enables Vintage Trains to offer a new passenger experience.

Premier Dining and First Class seating is at tables for two and four persons.

Table for Two : We can offer a 'Table for Two' guarantee (subject to availability of tables) for those who make an additional payment of a £15 per table booked (£7.50 per seat).

Premier Dining fares include full English breakfast Sample Breakfast Menu on the outward trip and traditional 3-course roast dinner Sample Dinner Menu on the return.

A selection of beers, wines and spirits will be available for purchase (by dining passengers) from the dining car team.

Special dietary requirements must be requested when making your booking.

Juniors & Children : There is no special child menu & no reduced child fare in Premier Dining.  We regret we are unable to accommodate children under 5 in the dining cars.

Please note that Vintage Trains excursions have to be slotted in between normal timetabled services of the train operating companies that run regularly on Network Rail. The actual detailed times for departures and arrivals are not usually available to us until quite close to the actual date of the train.

All times subject to confirmation. Tickets, final information and confirmed timings are mailed out to passengers AS SOON AS VINTAGE TRAINS RECEIVE FINAL TIMINGS FROM NETWORK RAIL, normally about ten days before a tour is scheduled to depart.
