'1968 and all that'
1968 an all that The NRM is planning to hold a 9-day long extravaganza celebrating 40 years since the end of steam haulage on Britain's mainline railways. Enjoy theatre performances, live action and steam rides in the South Yard. You will be able to see locomotives that played their role in the emotional farewell to steam, including Evening Star.

This feature opens on 24 May, the day of our trip - so an added attraction!
See NRM website for more details>>
