Itinerary: (subject to confirmation) "Waverley” – the last sea going Paddle Steamer in the world! Join the historic ship on an afternoon return cruise from Southend viewing the River Thames Forts and ocean going shipping. Departs at 13.15 hrs arriving back at 16.30hrs. The trains starts at Tyseley Warwick Road then picks up at Nuneaton, Narborough,Market Harboroughand Kettering. It then proceeds via Luton and Barking to Southend Central. Southend Pier railway fare not included in VT fares and to be paid locally. Diesel haulage with Class 47 47773 and another diesel in ‘top & tail’ formation.
Travel Classes:

First class open	This train offers a high level of passenger comfort being comprised of recently acquired ex-BR mark 2 air-conditioned carriages together with our well-known BR Mk 1 Pullman Cars as used on the 'East Coast Pullman' services. This enables Vintage Trains to offer a new passenger experience. Premier Dining and First Class seating is at tables for two and four persons. Standard Class is at tables for four persons. Premier Dining:

A selection of beers, wines and spirits will be available for purchase (by dining passengers) from the dining car team. Juniors & Children within Dining Cars: There is no special child menu & no reduced child fare in Premier Dining. We regret we are unable to accommodate children under 5 in the dining cars. Special dietary requirements must be requested when making your booking.

Stations & Times:

Please note that Vintage Trains excursions have to be slotted in between normal timetabled services of the train operating companies that run regularly on Network Rail. The actual detailed times for departures and arrivals are not usually available to us until quite close to the actual date of the train.

All times subject to confirmation. Tickets, final information and confirmed timings are mailed out to passengers AS SOON AS VINTAGE TRAINS RECEIVE FINAL TIMINGS FROM NETWORK RAIL, normally about ten days before a tour is scheduled to depart.

t2	The train starts at Tyseley Warwick Road, which is the platform within the Birmingham Railway Museum/Tyseley Locomotive Works site (click on button to see Tyseley map - the red circle shows the site & car park). Free car parking is available at the Tyseley Locomotive Works car park, adjacent to our Warwick Road platform for tours which start from here. If you are travelling by service train to Tyseley main line station, allow ten minutes to walk to Warwick Road platform. WM Travel bus route 37 operates a frequent service between Birmingham City Centre (Corporation Street) and Solihull station - alight at the Warwick Road / Tyseley Hill Road stop.

	Customers are reminded that as from 1st July 2007 UK government legislation comes into effect prohibiting smoking in public places. Areas designated 'NO SMOKING' include ALL CARRIAGES ON ALL TRAINS AS WELL AS RAILWAY PLATFORMS AND PREMISES.
