Steam Hauled Trains
Vintage Trains traditional steam hauled excursions hauled by our own engines or guest locomotives, give you an opportunity to recall the golden age of steam train travel.
Throughout the year we run steam trains along interesting routes and to popular destinations, or to coincide with popular events.
Our steam hauled trains offer Pullman and Standard Class seating only, with traditional coach ventilation in order to give passengers the full benefit of their steam train experience.
Our steam trains offer two classes of travel :
Premier Dining in ex- BR Mk 1 Pullman Cars previously used on the prestigous 'East Coast Pullman Trains'. Fares include full English breakfast and 3-course roast dinner (unless otherwise stated). Seating is at tables for two* and four persons.
* Table for Two : We can offer a 'Table for Two' guarantee (subject to availability
of tables) for a small additional payment.
Standard Class in traditional BR Mk 2 coaches. Seating is at tables for four persons.

Diesel & Electric Hauled Trains
Enjoy a relaxing day out in comfort and style on board our Mk 2 air-conditioned carriages or our ex-British Rail Mk 1 Pullman carriages previously used on the prestigous 'East Coast Pullman Trains'. Our 'new' train enables Vintage Trains to offer a greater choice of scenic routes, interesting destinations together with a variety of possible 'off train' options.
Diesel & electric trains usually offer three classes of travel :

Juniors & Children : There
is no special child menu & no reduced child fare in Premier Dining. We regret we are unable to accommodate infants
under 5 in the dining cars. Concessionary fares in Standard Class may apply on certain trains only.

Special Notes
Customers are reminded that as from 1st July 2007 UK government legislation comes into effect prohibiting smoking in public places. Areas designated 'NO SMOKING' include ALL CARRIAGES ON ALL TRAINS AS WELL AS RAILWAY PLATFORMS AND PREMISES.
