We hope you enjoy the views of our trains, and hope that you will support us in keeping the mainline steam experience alive, by travelling with us on one of our future excursions. It is only the revenue from these trains that provides the necessary income to continue to repair and maintain the locomotives and rolling stock.

so all three surviving Princess Coronation Class Locomotives
were resting within the 'City of Birmingham'

Arriving early meant a grabbed shot!
6233 was then about halfway between her two surviving classmates which were also within the City boundaries.

On arrival, two Duchesses stand only a few yards apart! And the third surviving 'Princess Coronation' (6235 'City of Birmingham') was a couple miles 'down the road' in the City's 'ThinkTank' museum.

Tyseley - A 'Duchess' & An 'Earl' Simmer!

The first fire for almost 44 years was lit in 5043 Earl of Mount Edgcumbe's boiler just the day before!
6229 'Duchess of Hamilton' is tantalisingly beyond the boiler inside the Works undergoing re-streamlining.
